Spanish woman claims to be Salvador Dalí’s daughter

A surreal eight months wait for a DNA test to prove her claim

Madrid. A 56 year old Spanish woman, identified as Pilar A., had a DNA test made eight months ago which she hoped would help her prove she is the daughter of famous painter Salvador Dalí. Her story was confirmed by Nicolas Descharnes, son of Dali’s friend and biographer Robert Descharnes.

Pilar A. claims that the surrealist artist had an affair with her mother who had been working as a maid for a family who spent a summer holiday in Cadaques, Catalonia, where the artist lived. She also explains that she had had two DNA tests but that the results were never given to her, something that she is now trying to achieve with a court order, which she believes will prove her theory.

The Descharnes family has kept silent over the issue, so Pilar has now hired a lawyer who has already sent the first request for her DNA test disclosure.
