With a, a completely new area layout and many other surprises, the August 16 edition of the 'Swinger Open Air Special' at Malta’s Gianpula Fields promises to blow your mind! Last year’s event proved to be the most attended dance music party, with over 6,000 clubbers attending the Santa Marija weekend. The Open Air Special returns this year with an even bigger, bolder and more extravagant line up in a concert-style concept: world’s No.1 house DJ David Guetta, trance superstars Above & Beyond and true techno legend Josh Wink.

Supporting DJ’s are J Joy, Miss Roberta, Ruby, Joseph Armani, Carl Bee, Tenishia and many more.

Gianpula Fields is Malta's largest open-air venue and measures some 7.5 acres, surrounding the Club and its gardens. Apart from being in a secluded and fully open-air area it has a panoramic view of Mdina and its magnificent century old bastions. The fields can house any event with a capacity of up to 30,000 persons.

David Guetta: At age 13, he began mixing his first vinyls. At 17, he worked as a DJ at 'Broad' in Paris, launching his career. From 1988–1990, he mixed house music at Radio Nova. In 2005, his single The World is Mine, which contains a sample of Simple Minds Someone Somewhere in Summertime, topped European dance charts. On the same year, he performed in the Creamfields festival in Spain, with such artists as The Chemical Brothers and Carl Cox. He has also performed at Creamfields UK, again alongside The Chemical Brothers, Carl Cox and other big name DJs.
The year 2007 was his: he was elected as World DJ Nr. 10 by the British DJ Mag. Earlier that year, in July, he was the first DJ to perform a live set on board a commercial plane leaving Paris for Ibiza and on New Year's Day, he appeared at Big Beach Boutique 3, a concert held on the beach of Brighton, UK, put together and headlined by Fatboy Slim.
Last July he performed together with Tiesto, Carl Cox, Joachim Garraud and Martin Solveig in front of 40.000 spectators, in France.

Above & BeyondAbove & Beyond: They rank among dance music's most exciting talents. Their genre-defining productions -often released on their own Anjunabeats label- have become an essential tool for the world's leading DJ's and have set the benchmark for the new generation of dance music producers. Acclaimed as one of the finest UK dance outfits of the past few years, Above & Beyond’s meteoric rise to the top of the global dance music scene continues unabated. As artists they’re constantly pushing at the boundaries of uplifting electronic music and reaping the rewards (and awards) in equal measure.

Josh WinkJosh Wink from Philadelphia, USA, is one of the true pioneers of techno, house and allied styles. He has worked hard since 1990 to become one of the worlds most in demand purveyors of experimental, electronic, danceable music. Making and breaking trends, his music (under its many monikers including Wink, Winc, Winks, Winx, The Crusher, E-Culture, and Size 9, Accent, Dinky Dog, J Dawg and The Crusher) has always experimented and influenced. The sound of Josh Wink remains today one of a man unafraid to walk the border between stylistic boundaries.
