Plovdiv’s puppet theatre was founded back in 1946, as a repertory theatre, financed by the Ministry of Culture and supported by the Municipality and is praised with the First Degree Award “Cyril and Methodias”. In its 63 years of life, the theatre has staged more than 300 productions that were performed before tens of thousands of audience in Bulgaria and 40 countries where it has been touring.
